Taleggio PDO Cheese is one of the most famous Italian PDO cheese, produced in Lombardy Region, in north of Italy.
It takes its name from Taleggio town, a small place close to Bergamo City, in the wonderful Taleggio Valley, surrounded by the Alps Mountains.
Taleggio PDO Cheese is made exclusively of pasteurized cow’s milk.
The paste is firm and uniform in texture, with a color ranging from white to straw yellow. The extremely thin rind is rose-colored.
The flavor is sweet, buttery and fragrant with a hint of acidity.
Our Taleggio PDO Cheese is aged longer than the usual 35 days mandated by the Consortium, and with each passing day this aging increases its buttery flavor, rendering it more intense and bringing out the truffle aftertaste.
The whole, squared shape is abt kg 2.2 and has a 60 days shelf life.
To be kept at +4°C.
